Empowering Safety Leadership Across Aboitiz Power DUs

On May 6, 2025, Subic EnerZone hosted a Safety Leadership Training for supervisors and managers from various AboitizPower Distribution Utilities including Davao Light, Visayan Electric, Cotabato Light, and Subic EnerZone. The training was facilitated by Ms. Carmela “Carla” Calimbas, AboitizPower DU Safety Consultant.
The whole-day session aimed to strengthen safety leadership by enhancing participants’ understanding of safety awareness, the principles of felt and visible leadership, and the importance of accountability and setting clear expectations. Discussions also highlighted the powerful impact of strong leadership on influencing employees' safe behaviors.
Participants actively engaged in various group activities designed to encourage collaboration and reflection. The training concluded with each attendee setting their individual commitment toward improving safety leadership within their respective organizations.
